Testimonial: How did you find the sessions?
The sessions were very engaging and forced the students to think about the actions discussed and reflect on their own behaviours also. Students often are able to articulate how and why it is wrong to partake in certain behaviors.
How did you find the facilitators teaching style?
The facilitators teaching style is fun, open and responsive to the group. She is very knowledgeable and is able to take teenage unpredictability and turn it into a teachable moment.
How important are workshops that cover consent, sexual harassment, coercive control and healthy relationships for boys:
This workshop is so important as many boys aren’t aware of the dangers of the behaviours they, or even their family or peers, engage in. These sessions are eye opening for them and gives them a clear framework in how to think about how men are supposed to treat women.
